What's included.

Shoes usually back within a week

Good leather shoes are an investment. We buy thin, super-prime leather direct from tanners in Italy, so a resoled loafer feels broken-in the day you pick it up — not weighed down by a slab of leather.

  • Full sole & heels — super-prime leather, correct replacement heels, factory refinish
  • Half soles & heels — same materials, forefoot only
  • Combination — leather sole with rubber forefoot insert for traction
  • Flex leather — for thin-soled premium brands
  • Heels — rubber, or combination with a rubber plug
  • Sole savers — thin rubber half-sole to protect a new outsole
  • Custom-mixed dye to match a dress or swatch — fabric or leather
  • Four-step hand shine: clean, strip old wax, condition, seal and brush
Allen Edmonds · Ferragamo · Santoni · Cole Haan · Bally · Johnston & Murphy · Bruno Magli · Mezlan

Boots

We learned from a custom bootmaker with more than twenty years at the bench. Western, work and dress boots, treated according to the skin.

  • Stitches picked, shanks set, brass tacks driven
  • Super-prime leather soles and heels
  • Uppers conditioned and refinished to the skin
Lucchese · Justin · Tony Lama · Dan Post · Old Gringo

Handbags

Repair, refinish or change the color entirely. Any leather, any skin — including alligator and croc re-glazing.

  • Broken straps, worn corners, tears, new linings
  • Refinish: clean, condition, color-match, then water and stain protection
  • Full color change
  • Zippers, sliders and hardware
Chanel · Louis Vuitton · Gucci · Prada · Fendi · Coach · Dooney & Bourke

Luggage

We stock the parts — from a single screw to full wheel and telescoping-handle sets. Bring it in before you throw it away.

  • Wheel and pull-handle replacement
  • Zipper sliders and full zippers
  • Corners, panels and stitching
Tumi · Samsonite · Hartmann · Travelpro · Swiss Army

Belts & leather jackets

Remo Tulliani belts in stock, or a custom belt made to order in lizard, ostrich, snake, stingray and other exotic skins as available.

  • Belts resized or refinished to look new
  • Jacket rips and holes — permanent repair compound, hard to spot
  • Larger damage — new panel sewn in and recolored to match
  • Stain protection and full recoloring
Casual, dress, full-length and motorcycle leather

Orthopedic, sanitizing & custom

We fill doctor's orthopedic prescriptions, run a chemical-free Klenz silver-oxide sanitizer, and take on the projects that don't fit a category.

  • Heel build-ups, full-sole add-ons, arch supports, heel levelling
  • Sanitizing for shoes, golf shoes, handbags, gloves — kills odor and mold
  • Custom leather work, evaluated and quoted free

Our story

Chicago to Phoenix.

Cobbler's Den was founded by Mack, a cobbler from Chicago who moved to the Scottsdale–Phoenix area with his wife and children and built a reputation for quality and service.

He ran a very successful shop on Camelback near the Biltmore for more than fifteen years, sold it in 2003, and opened Cobbler's Den on Tatum just north of Cactus — where we've been ever since.

His son Chris now runs the day-to-day and holds to the standards his father set.

"You'll know exactly what will be repaired, how, why, and how much."— Chris, Owner
